Diagnostic Treatment & Equipment

Digitalized x-ray examination:
The equipment enhances our ability to better diagnose and treat fractures, tumors and dislocations and other boney conditions. Through contrast adjustment and magnification, x-rays can be enhanced for better viewing. We can now more readily make copies of x-rays, copy them to a CD or email them. This process of digitalizing our x-rays allows us to make a more accurate diagnosis providing better treatment for our patients.

Diagnostic ultrasound:
The equipment enhances our diagnostic skills in treating many bone and soft tissue disorders Many injuries, both soft tissue and bone, which here to for would require more expensive imaging such as magnetic resonance imaging or computerized tomography scans of the foot can potentially be avoided. Diagnosis of ankle sprains, stress fractures, torn tendons, Morton's neuroma, plantar fasciitis etc. can now be made, in most cases, on the premises without delay for extensive test. Progress of healing can now also be monitored and documented and evaluated instead of relying on clinical impressions. Our diagnostic ultrasound has significantly enhanced our ability to monitor the progress of our treatment and assist in more accurate diagnosis.

Extra Corporal Shockwave Therapy
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) is a noninvasive surgical procedure that uses sound waves to stimulate healing in some physical disorders, including plantar fasciitis. "Extracorporeal" means "outside of the body" and refers to the way the therapy is applied. Because there is no incision, ESWT offers two main advantages over traditional surgical methods: fewer potential complications and a faster return to normal activity. ESWT has been used extensively for several years to treat plantar fasciitis and other disorders.
